Our Team

Jan Vernon - Founder and Wedding Co-ordinator

I have firsthand experience of planning a wedding on Waiheke from afar – seven years ago, my husband and I married on Waiheke Island while we were living in New York City. I Iost count of the times I wished we had access to the expertise of a local wedding planner!

After many years living and travelling overseas I returned to live on Waiheke with my family. I set up Waiheke Island Weddings with Jenny and continue to draw on my 10 years London experience in project and people management, to ensure your wedding is a stress-free event with no details overlooked.

I feel privileged to support couples through their weddings – and I believe there is nowhere more beautiful than Waiheke Island to tie the knot.

Jenny Holmes - Founder and Wedding Co-ordinator

Like so many people living on Waiheke, I came here after living and working overseas, fell in love with the island and stayed to raise my family. It has a special energy and beauty which makes it a great place to live and a fabulous place to get married.

Planning and co-ordinating weddings requires strong project management and sound financial skills, which I developed with my Engineering and Commerce degrees and 15 years working with multinational companies.

I’m a natural organiser and I thoroughly enjoy helping people achieve their goals.
